Amplifying Black Voices: Discover the Black Canadian Creator Directory This Black History Month

The main purpose of our blog at the London & Middlesex Local Immigration Partnership is to participate in knowledge mobilization. As such, we write on a variety of topics related to our overarching mandate to make London & Middlesex welcoming communities for all. This includes reducing systemic barriers, improving access to information, and exercising effective collaboration.

Sometimes, this means writing our own blogs on topics that we have expertise on. However, sometimes it also means using our platform to amplify the voices of others who know more.

February is Black History Month. So, we are taking a step back with our blog this week, and using this platform to amplify the voices of Black Canadians that are telling neat stories, creating captivating content and sharing important perspectives.

Here, you can access the Black Canadian Creator Directory. This database allows you to explore and interact with over 400 Black Canadian creators working across a diverse variety of industries. It contains links to all social media platforms you can find content from these individuals on. This database is a fantastic way to find Black voices in sectors that you are most interested in.

We hope that if you are a regular reader of the LMLIP blog, you will spend the time you would normally spend reading our article, to connect with the Black Canadian Creator Directory and find some content that interests you. Together, let's celebrate Black history and Black voices this month, and every month.

We'll see you back here in two weeks for our regularly scheduled LMLIP articles !
